Fabrizio Romano: Barcelona are in talks with Sergio Aguero’s agent over potential move

Barcelona is said to have made a summer transfer window move to sign Sergio Aguero.

Manchester City's Sergio Aguero is expected to leave on a free transfer. The Argentine striker is a club legend, but his contract with the club expires at the end of the season.

He has ten big trophies with City and is the club's all-time leading goalscorer. He also has the opportunity to add a few more before moving on.

The Catalan giants are interested in signing him, according to prominent journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, and have already contacted the player's agent.

Aguero's other choices

The 32-year-old has been linked with a number of other clubs, with many Premier League clubs said to be interested in signing him.

Paul Merson, a famous football pundit, believes Sergio Aguero would be ideal for Chelsea.

A switch for Aguero has also been suggested for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta, the Gunners' manager, worked closely with the former Atletico Madrid striker at the Etihad Stadium when he was Pep Guardiola's No.2 at the time.

According to 90min, Leeds United could make an audacious attempt to sign Aguero, giving him the chance to play under Marcelo Bielsa, his compatriot.
