On the Kelly and Wright display, Ian Wright praised Kai Havertz's form for Chelsea but wasn't sure whether he could start against Real Madrid.

In his brief Blues career, Havertz is finally experiencing a purple patch.

In the last three games, he has played a significant role. Between two Champions League matches with Porto, he put in a goal-scoring performance against Crystal Palace.

Thomas Tuchel has given the 21-year-old a center-forward spot, which he is relishing.

Chelsea has been the subject of speculation about their desire to sign a new striker. For the time being, Havertz appears to be the best choice.

With some major games coming up for the Blues, including a League Cup semi-final against Manchester City and a European match against Real Madrid, it will be interesting to see if Tuchel trusts the young German with the no.9 spot again.

Despite his good form, Wright believes Chelsea should play a ruthless finisher ahead of Havertz in the upcoming matches against Real Madrid.

'He (Havertz) has come good, but I always felt he would come good because of the caliber of player he is,' the Arsenal legend said.

'Against Palace, I thought he was fantastic because he went into places where they didn't pick him up.

'He has a lot of potentials. He has the ability to create havoc there. Real Madrid will be able to handle such a situation. For me, in this game, they (Chelsea) would need someone who can take that half-chance, because Real Madrid knows how to win these games.

'On that day, they (Chelsea) will require someone who is extremely clinical.'

Tuchel has other choices in this area, but they seem to be hesitant to use them.

Olivier Giroud is an excellent backup, and his experience against Madrid's deft center-backs may be vital.

Tammy Abraham is still Chelsea's top scorer this season, proving that she can be reliable.

However, his relationship with Tuchel, as well as multiple injuries, seem to be holding him back.
