REPORT: ARSENAL READY TO TAKE £31M LOSS AND SELL WENGER SIGNING THIS SUMMER

According to the Telegraph, Arsenal will be able to sell Alexandre Lacazette this summer at a significant loss.

Arsenal is said to be interested in buying Celtic's Odsonne Edouard for £15 million, and Lacazette is valued at about the same amount.

Lacazette currently leads Arsenal in goals scored, but he is 29 years old and would have no worth if the Gunners keep him.

Edouard may be a younger, and potentially more lucrative, choice in the future, and Arsenal seems to be preparing to offload the Frenchman.

However, if they sell him for £15 million, they will suffer a significant financial loss.

When Arsene Wenger was still in charge, Arsenal signed Lacazette from Lyon for a club-record fee of £46.5 million in 2017 (BBC Sport).

Just four years later, Arsenal is expected to lose £31 million on the striker, which seems to be bad business.

Lacazette has been a valuable choice up front for the Gunners during his time with the club, but he has yet to establish himself as a top-flight goalscorer.

Lacazette is in excellent form right now, with 13 Premier League goals to his credit this season.

Despite his improved results, it seems that Arsenal still intends to sell him in the summer.
