Corentin Tolisso, who has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and has aspired to play for them, has returned to the transfer picture.

For fans of Arsenal transfer nonsense, Corentin Tolisso is not a new name. For at least the last five years, he has been linked with Arsenal.

Arsenal and Southampton were interested in him when he was 21 and playing for Lyon in 2016.

Tolisso later said that he wished to join Arsenal (and a few others). “Many clubs, such as Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and England with teams like Arsenal, make my dream,” he said.

“I enjoy playing in the Premier League and believe I am well suited to it. It is the most competitive league, the freest, the most hard-fought, and the most spectacular.”

This went on for a few years before he signed for Bayern Munich in 2017 for £37.5 million.

The midfielder is currently out with a torn tendon that has kept him out since February, and he played sparingly this season before that. In the Bundesliga, he only played the full 90 minutes once and made only seven starts in 14 appearances. He has sat out two games due to a red card suspension.

Tolisso's contract expires next summer, and he seems to be out of favor in Munich.

According to Sport in France, who gets their knowledge from Kicker in Germany, this has prompted a variety of clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United, and Juventus, to sit up and take notice.

According to the report, Bayern Munich is "already in the process of evaluating the offers of many European teams." There are some major names in the lot, including Juventus Turin, Manchester United,

Arsenal, Inter Milan, Napoli, and Atlético Madrid. To put it simply, if the 26-year-old Frenchman wants to skip the Bundesliga,

he would be spoiled for options. His club is expected to seek about €20 million in order to release him this summer.”

In 2018, it was announced that Bayern Munich wanted €60 million for Tolisso, and Arsenal was considering paying that sum.
