Bruno Fernandes in talks with Manchester United target rated at £60m

In the midst of Manchester United speculation, Bruno Fernandes has met with Nuno Mendes.

According to MEN transfer sources, Bruno Fernandes has been speaking with Nuno Mendes about a move to Manchester United.

Fernandes and Mendes were both appointed to Portugal's 26-man squad for the Euros, and Fernandes called Mendes to congratulate him.

Last season, the 18-year-old made his senior debut for Lisbon and has since established himself as a key player for the Portuguese giants. He was instrumental in their Primeira Liga victory this season, they're first in 19 years.

Mendes, a full international for Portugal, has made tremendous strides this season to put himself in contention for the European Championship this summer.

His dedication and ability were recognized when he was appointed to the initial 26-man squad alongside our Fernandes.

Fernandes chose to congratulate Mendes on his selection to the squad despite the fact that both players have origins at Sporting CP. Fernandes posted a photo on social media of the couple on Facetime.

Nonetheless, it's difficult to imagine United pursuing Mendes in the summer.

He is estimated to cost about £60 million, and United already has Shaw and Telles vying for the role. Mendes is a promising young man, but this contract is difficult to justify.
