Bruno Fernandes issues message to Raphinha amid Manchester United transfer links

Rafinha made his comeback from injury for Leeds United in their 3-1 Premier League victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Following Raphinha's return from injury, Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes sent a letter to Leeds United winger Rafinha.

Rafinha has drawn attention since his transfer to the Premier League last summer, and he played a key role in Leeds' 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road on Saturday.

The 24-year-form old's has seen him strongly linked with a move away from Marcelo Bielsa's side, with Manchester United among those linked with a possible transfer.

Raphinha assisted Rodrigo for Leeds' third goal against the Spurs, bringing his Premier League to assist total this season to seven.

Ace of the United States Fernandes has a strong friendship with Raphinha from their time together at Sporting Lisbon, and he was among those who sent a message to his former teammate following the result.

Fernandes responded to Raphinha's Instagram with the words "I'm a fan," which may imply that he is open to the idea of a reunion at Old Trafford next season.

Former United midfielder Owen Hargreaves is among those who have backed the club to sign Raphinha this summer.

Though United's main goal this summer is to sign a new striker, Hargreaves made a different case to BT Sport last month.

"A lot of people have played out on the right side and haven't really found it." If you're looking for a winger, I think Jadon Sancho would be fantastic.

"You think about Raphinha at Leeds and what he should do with this United team." You can't afford to spend £100 million on every match."
