Chelsea star may have already played his final game at Stamford Bridge as offers are confirmed

The latest Chelsea news includes remarks from Olivier Giroud's agent about the striker's future at Stamford Bridge; the striker's deal expires in the summer.

According to the striker's lawyer, Vincenzo Morabito, who also disclosed how close the Frenchman came to leaving Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window.

Morabito told Calciomercato, "Manuello and I met with AC Milan at the end of the January transfer window."

"They confirmed their high regard for Giroud while also stating that they were considering younger players for their attack.

"We have, however, maintained contact with them, and we will see what happens in the future. Giroud was rumored to be heading to Italy in January.

"When Edin Dzeko was expected to leave for Inter Milan, we talked with both Juventus and Roma.

"Manuello is currently weighing various offers for Giroud. Three players have arrived from English clubs.

"However, there are some interesting opportunities for him in Spain and Germany."

Giroud's deal at Chelsea expires at the end of the month, and with talk of bringing in a new striker this summer, it seems that he will leave on a free transfer.

Despite never being a regular starter under Frank Lampard or Thomas Tuchel this season, the 34-year-old has 11 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions.

Six of them have come in the Champions League, and he could leave Chelsea with a trophy from that competition on May 29 against Manchester City.

Having said that, Giroud could have already played his final game for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Giroud's appearance as a late substitute in Chelsea's 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Tuesday night may be his last if he decides to leave this summer.

He may still play at Stamford Bridge next season if he accepts an offer from one of the three English clubs described above.

Since joining Chelsea from London rivals Arsenal in January 2018, Giroud has made over 100 appearances in all competitions for the Blues, scoring 39 goals.
