After talks this week, Football Insider has learned that Manchester United is the favorites to sign FC Nordsjaelland striker Kamaldeen Sulemana.

According to a United source, club executives have made it clear that they are willing to outbid key rivals Ajax for the versatile forward, putting them in pole place to secure a contract.

The Dutch giants have proposed a £12 million package for Sulemana, but the English giants are eager to meet the £15 million asking price.

There are so many obstacles to tackle, including bureaucracy.

Sulemana does not have enough points to obtain a work permit under the current post-Brexit transfer law.

That could change if the teenager makes one more competitive appearance for Ghana or if the Danish league moves up one spot in the Uefa coefficients.

Ghana will play Morocco on June 8th as part of their preparations for the African qualifiers for next year's World Cup.

If Sulemana plays in that game, which is highly likely given his excellent recent form, a big roadblock to United signing the youngster will be removed.

United also made acquiring the teen sensation a top priority after conducting comprehensive research on him this season.

Sulemana, who joined Nordsjaelland in February of last year, has ten goals and seven assists this season in 28 appearances for the Danish club.

Ajax is United's main rival for Sulemana, and their director of football Marc Overmars was in the front row to watch him play last week.

The 20-time English champions are well aware that the newly crowned Dutch Eredivisie champions beat them to the signing of another Ghanian youngster, Mohammed Kudus, last year.
