'He's very special': Freddie Ljungberg raves about one Arsenal starlet

At Arsenal, Freddie Ljungberg expects great things from Gabriel Martinelli in the coming years.

On Wednesday night, the Brazilian forward scored Arsenal's second goal in a 3-1 Premier League victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The 19-year-old has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in Mikel Arteta's first team this season, but he came off the bench to score a significant goal for the Gunners against the Eagles.

“You can tell from the way he talks that he's upset because he hasn't started in a long time.

“He does so well, but he says I'm always ready when he needs me, which is a manager's dream.

“He has the instinct; he just gets there and reads it well. It is not something you can learn from a journal. He has the instinct, and he will score several goals throughout his career.”

On Sunday, Arsenal will host Brighton and Hove Albion in their final Premier League game of the season.
