Manchester United player ratings: Mason Greenwood and Aaron Wan-Bissaka good vs Aston Villa

Man United's unbeaten run in the Premier League continued against Aston Villa away from home, and here's how the players fared at Villa Park.

Dean Henderson

He couldn't stop Bertrand Traore's incredible ball, but he beautifully saved Harry Maguire's blushes by avoiding an own goal. 7

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

In the first half, United relied heavily on Luke Shaw, but he provided the assist for Mason Greenwood's goal. Late in the game, there was a big block.

DON'T MISS:

Victor Lindelof

He was too timid in confronting Traore, and he was disciplined for the opener. Ollie Watkins was given a chance to equalize in the second half. 5

Harry Maguire

Lindelof was largely left to his aerial duels with Ollie Watkins. In the 78th minute, he was booked and almost put past Henderson before being forced off injured. 6

Luke Shaw

In attack, he was aggressive and drew a save from Emiliano Martinez, but he unnecessarily fouled Traore to encourage him. Once again, one of United's greatest performers. 7

McTominay,

For months, it seemed that he was out of sorts and that he was heavily to blame for Traore's strike. Before Gdansk, he needs to step up his game. 5

Fred

A hospital pass for Traore's opener did McTominay no favors. Improved in the second half and pushed hard. 6

Mason Greenwood

Greenwood was brilliant despite playing 90 minutes in Rome, and his movement baffled Villa. Tyrone Mings was turned to score and just came off due to midweek excursions. 8

Fernandes

A tired effort from a player who has been overworked, but he still scored from the penalty spot. 6

Pogba

Combined well with Shaw and had a few half-chances in the first half before winning the penalty that sparked United's comeback. 7

Rashford,

There was no visible evidence that he had gained from going 10 days without a start, and he was a step down from Edinson Cavani. Always beautifully crossed for Edinson Cavani.

Subsidiaries

Cavani, Edinson

Cavani's goal is classic. Almost unplayable.

Eric Bailly

Some desperate defending. 6

Nemanja

Things have been stabilized. 6

Managing Director

I chose a powerful enough team to win the game, but I was let down by individual mistakes for the target. The substitutions were excellent. 7
