Manchester United Team News vs Liverpool: Harry Maguire, Dan James

Solskjaer's side will be facing Klopp's men on Thursday night EPL clash.

Let's try it again, without the trespassing and vandalism. Manchester United will host Liverpool in the Premier League,

game two, at Old Trafford on Thursday night. Protests turned into breaking and entering, and then the destruction of private property, in scenes reminiscent of the January 6 storming of the United States Capitol.

While the actual cause has a lot of merits and is honorable, the methods used by a few hundred United supporters (while the majority of the roughly 10,000 were peaceful) were indefensible.

Team Updates

It appears that team captain Harry Maguire will not be seen again until the Europa League final on May 26, if at all. United's top central defender sustained an ankle injury against Aston Villa on Sunday.

“We've had scans, and the good news is that there's no fracture, it's ligament damage, so hopefully we'll see him again this season, and hopefully he'll be ready for the final,” United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told MUTV.

Harry Maguire is unlikely to be risked for any match other than the one in Gdansk against Villareal, where a trophy is on the line. In other news, winger Dan James has joined forward Anthony Martial and center back Phil Jones in the long-term injury list.
