“My time at Chelsea will not normally continue” – Player announces he wants to leave, has no regrets over move

Chelsea defender Matt Miazga has announced his intention to leave the club this summer but claims he has no regrets about joining the club.

Miazga has been with Chelsea since January 2016, when he joined for £4.14 million from New York Red Bulls, but his five years at the club have been far from fruitful.

He's spent the majority of his time at the club on loan at Vitesse, Nantes, and Reading.

He has made just two appearances for Chelsea's first team since his arrival, but he is contracted to the club until next summer.

That's a feeling he's expressed again with his most recent remarks, though he maintains there are no regrets.

When asked about his future, he told Voetbal Primeur, "I can't say anything meaningful about it."

“What I can say is that my time at Chelsea will almost certainly come to an end. Even if it didn't work out, I'd do it again.

“I have a lot of respect for Chelsea because it is where I learned a lot, where I trained with stars like Eden Hazard, and where I twice played in the Premier League. “Incomparable.”
