Report: Arsenal set their sights on ‘one of the best young left-backs in the country’


According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal has expressed an interest in taking Derby left-back Lee Buchanan to the Emirates Stadium.



The Gunners have had a tough season, which will come to an end if they struggle to beat Villarreal in the Europa League semi-final second leg on Thursday.


Mikel Arteta's side is currently ninth in the Premier League table with 49 points, having lost 13 and drawn seven games so far.

As a result, according to the Mail, Arsenal will look to raise funds this summer through player sales and bring in a range of new recruits in order to continue this season.


One of the names named is Buchanan, who is described by Rams manager Wayne Rooney as "one of the best young left-backs in the world."
