Report: Stuttgart hoping to seal another loan for Arsenal’s Konstas Mavropanos

VfB Stuttgart is aiming to keep Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos for next season, according to Kicker.

The news comes as fellow Stuttgart defender Marc-Oliver Kempf is on his way out of the club, according to the German outlet. Kempf, who has yet to sign new contracts, may depart this summer for about £12 million, according to Kicker.

According to Kicker, Stuttgart is now preparing for his departure and hopes to re-sign Arsenal defender Mavropanos next season. This year, the Greek star has had a successful campaign, making 20 appearances.

Despite the fact that some Gunners fans want to see Mavropanos given a chance in North London, Arsenal might be tempted to loan him out again. He, like William Saliba, is a youngish defender on the Gunners' books that they haven't seen much of.

Mavropanos also spent last season in Germany. He spent time with Nuremberg before joining Stuttgart in the summer of 2020.
