Chelsea FC attacker Kai Havertz has been suffering from a hamstring injury in recent days, according to Thomas Tuchel.



The German international has been in good form for the southwest



London club in recent weeks, but he was left out of Chelsea FC's home game against Leicester City.


Tuchel's men claimed a crucial victory over the Foxes thanks to goals from Antonio Rudiger and Jorginho in the second half, boosting their chances of finishing in the top four this season.

Tuchel was asked to provide an update on Havertz ahead of Chelsea FC's match against Leicester City on Tuesday night, and he confirmed that the German has been suffering from a hamstring injury.

Tuchel said in an interview with Metro before the game, "Kai unfortunately got injured a little bit at Wembley."



“He felt a mild ache in his hamstring.

“We are hoping to get him back in the squad for Aston Villa on Sunday, but we are not certain.

“We have Kova [Mateo Kovacic] back on the bench tonight, which is a big boost for us.”

Havertz, 21, has scored four goals and made three assists in 26 Premier League games this season.
