What Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did to Edinson Cavani after Aston Villa win

On Sunday, Manchester United defeated Aston Villa 3-1 in the Premier League.

Following Manchester United's 3-1 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer dashed onto the field to hug Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan international came off the bench to begin the game. However, he came on to score, improving his team's chances of finishing second in the Premier League table.

Manchester United fell behind to Aston Villa in the 24th minute, with Bertrand Traore scoring.

He took advantage of some sloppy defending by Victor Lindelof to score, beating Dean Henderson with a fine shot from a close angle.

United, on the other hand, upped the ante in the second half, scoring three times without reply to take the game.

Bruno Fernandes started the scoring by converting a penalty after Paul Pogba was fouled inside the net.

Mason Greenwood put the Red Devils ahead with a strong low shot, beating Emiliano Martinez.

Cavani scored his eighth goal in his last seven games with a sumptuous header in the closing stages.

It was a fantastic result for United, coming just days after they had lost to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, but had advanced to the Europa League final.

And Solskjaer was overjoyed at the end. Football Daily published the video of Solskjaer running onto the field after the final whistle to greet Cavani.

The 48-year-old is beaming and affectionately pats his star striker, who has come on strong at the right moment.
