Barcelona could offload young star to Arsenal for €30m despite his wishes to stay

It's evident that Barcelona needs to generate some finances after being particularly badly struck by the covid 19 outbreak, but the problem is that nobody wants to take on their expensive contracts for players nearing the end of their careers or who haven't produced in a few years.

Unfortunately, this may imply that they must jettison some of the players who should be laying the groundwork for the future, with the sale of Sergio Dest being a prime example.

He had a mixed first season in Spain, and he did struggle against PSG in the Champions League, but he also showed the pace and enthusiasm to suggest that he may be an entertaining wing-back for years to come.

According to Sport, he is a player who might be sold, especially after the club failed to sell Sergi Roberto and instead signed Emerson Royal.

They indicate that he has no intention of leaving, but he may be forced to leave, and Arsenal is one of the teams connected with a €30 million deal for him this summer.

He would be an obvious replacement for Hector Bellerin, and his pace would be exciting to watch, but you worry he may be exposed in the Premier League since Arsenal does not now control games in the same way that Barcelona does.

It appears like Barcelona would prefer to lose Roberto or perhaps Emerson instead, but this is one to keep an eye on.
