Chelsea coach promotes his fellow countryman Erling Haaland to Chelsea

Could Chelsea be armed with a surprise weapon in their pursuit of Erling Haaland this summer?

Tore Andre Flo, a former Blues player turned loan coach, has been marketing his fellow countryman Erling Haaland to Chelsea, according to a story in Diario AS today.

Flo was a striker for Chelsea and had a very good career there, and he was brought back in as a loan technical coach in 2012, and he works daily at Cobham.

He has spoken publicly about Haaland and how, like him, he feels the striker will have no trouble adjusting to Premier League football and will be a success here.

He obviously does not mention any of the speculation surrounding Haaland's links with Chelsea, and AS reiterates that they believe Chelsea IS preparing an offer for him, but it is very interesting to hear a current Chelsea coach speak these words about Haaland right now, with all of the rumors and speculation surrounding his potential joining the club this summer.

    Flo stated:

“For someone from Norway, the culture in England is fairly comparable. It would be fairly simple, at least for me. We all speak the language fairly well, so there should be no problems.”

“Obviously, it's a very challenging league, perhaps the toughest in the world. That is the most difficult obstacle for players from all over the world,” Flo finishes.
