"Chelsea don't need him" - Journalist drops verdict on Tuchel target who can be "unstoppable"

Chelsea, according to Sam Inkersole, does not require Adama Traore.

Chelsea is still interested in acquiring Wolves winger Adama Traore this summer, according to The Athletic, but Football London's Blues writer Sam Inkersole believes they don't need him.

The 25-year-old was recently a member of Luis Enrique's Spain team for Euro 2020, appearing as a substitute in the 5-0 win over Slovakia.

Traore can play wing-back as well as play on the wing and did so under previous Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo, who preferred a 5-man defense. Traore has seven Premier League goals and 14 assists in 140 Premier League appearances for Wolves.

His quickness and power are two of his best qualities, but Chelsea journalist Sam Inkersole believes the Wolves man is hit or miss.

“On a good day, he's practically unstoppable; you just can't deal with him.

“However, in other games, he may be anonymous, but that could happen to any footballer, I suppose.”

Chelsea has a plethora of wingers on its roster, including Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, and Mason Mount. With these many players, Sam Inkersole believes the club does not need to move for Traore.

“Chelsea doesn't need him; the club already has a wealth of offensive midfielders and wingers.

“Unless it's a good deal, I don't think it's a move Chelsea really needs to make.”
