'Done deal!' - Arsenal fans sent into transfer frenzy after what Yves Bissouma did on Twitter

Arsenal is nearing a deal to sign Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White, but could Yves Bissouma follow him at the Emirates Stadium?

Arsenal supporters are hoping that technical director Edu would complete a double transfer raid on Brighton & Hove Albion this summer, as a massive squad revamps proceeds at the Emirates Stadium.

After several weeks of talks, Arsenal and Brighton have agreed to terms on the signing of center-back Ben White.

football.london understands that the Gunners, who have failed to win both of their first two preseason games ahead of the start of the 2021/22 Premier League season in less than a month's time, have agreed on a fee with Brighton worth £50 million to get the England international.

Personal terms between Arsenal and White are also believed to have been agreed upon, which means that all that remains is for him to pass his physical, and if he does, he will be confirmed as a Gunners player, joining Portuguese left-back Nuno Tavares in making the move to the Emirates Stadium.

However, White is not the only Brighton player who a number of Arsenal fans would like to see trade blue and white for red, with many Gunners fans developing a crush on Yves Bissouma in recent months.

The Gunners' interest in Bissouma was initially uncovered by football.london in January when the midfielder confirmed that he would be willing to join Arsenal if the opportunity arose. However, with Brighton set to seek about £40 million for the former Lille midfielder, securing him may not be such an easy assignment.

Nonetheless, Arsenal fans are holding out hope that Bissouma would join them in north London, as manager Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his core defensive-midfield options this summer.

Bissouma rushed to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to post a photo of himself wearing new clothes and leaning against a Mercedes, writing: "New appearance. Let us strive for the future."

Only he will know if that phrase was a hint about his future or if a transfer away from Brighton was in the works. However, Arsenal fans quickly dominated the answers, sending letters to him appealing to him to join them this summer.

Football.london has taken a hard look at what some Arsenal fans have got to say.

As evidenced by the words displayed above, every single Arsenal fan who responded to Bissouma's Twitter tweet is eager for him to join the club this summer.

Signing a new defensive midfielder is near the top of Arteta's priority list, but the club is leaving their options open when it comes to bolstering that position. Along with Bissouma, Wolverhampton Wanderers' Ruben Neves and Sassuolo's Manuel Locatelli have been linked with moves to north London.

All three of the players in question would cost Arsenal a lot of money, so it could come down to Arteta's preference and which player(s) choose to make the transfer.

Bissouma is said to be open to the move, which means the only difficult hurdle Arsenal would have to overcome is reaching an agreement with Brighton.
