Journalist confirms Milan are ‘very interested’ in €44m Chelsea winger: “Top of their list”

AC Milan considers Hakim Ziyech to be their top priority to bolster their assault, but he will not be easy to find.

The Rossoneri have been connected with a transfer for Ziyech several times in recent weeks, with the winger having had a less-than-ideal first season at Chelsea following his big-money move from Ajax, leading to speculation that he could leave.

We chatted with Santi Aouna of FootMercato for some insight on a few ongoing reports, and he shared his information on a variety of various topics, including Milan's rumored pursuit of the Morocco international, proving that is more than just idle speculation.

“Milan is a big fan of Ziyech. He's at the top of their priority list. However, this is not an evident concern, particularly for economic reasons. “If they can sign him, he will bring them a lot of nice things,” he remarked.

Back in February of last year, it was revealed that Ajax and Chelsea had reached an agreement for Ziyech for €40 million – potentially climbing to a maximum of €44 million when bonuses are factored in (via Wikipedia). Carlo Pellegatti said today that he is Milan's ideal goal.
