Chelsea is willing to offer Callum Hudson-Odoi in exchange for Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman, who is also wanted by Liverpool and Manchester City.

Chelsea is preparing to increase their interest in Bayern Munich and France winger Kingsley Coman, who is also being watched by Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester City, according to a report from French daily L'Equipe.

Despite being only 25 years old, Coman is one of the most accomplished forwards in the game today, having won six Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich, two Serie A titles with Juventus, two Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain, and the UEFA Champions League with the Bavarians in 2019/20.

Despite significant injury problems during his time at Bayern, Coman has been a crucial member of the squad and was one of their finest players last season, guiding Die Roten to another league win.

However, due to a contract dispute, the Frenchman now faces an unclear future at the Allianz Stadium.

Coman's current contract with Bayern Munich expires in 2023, and the club has suggested a new contract worth €13 million per season, an increase from his current €9 million-a-year deal.

However, the 25-year-old is demanding a salary of €18 million per year, equivalent to that of teammate Leroy Sane.

Bayern, on the other hand, is unwilling to meet those demands and is prepared to sell if the situation does not alter, raising the ire of a slew of elite clubs throughout Europe, including Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea.

Liverpool is interested in signing the 25-year-old due to a lack of quality cover for their first-choice attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane.

While Diogo Jota performed admirably in his first season with the Reds, the concerns surrounding the futures of Xherdan Shaqiri and Takumi Minamino necessitate the inclusion of another wide player, making Coman a plausible option.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who signed Coman at Bayern Munich, could be considering him as a replacement for Raheem Sterling, who has been linked with a move away from this summer.

The futures of Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez have also been called into question, but the Premier League champions appear to be focussing on Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish as their priority target.

Chelsea, however, has a variety of offensive options in the form of Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech, and Callum Hudson-Odoi, while manager Thomas Tuchel has also employed Timo Werner in a wider role at times.

However, the German is thought to be a major fan of Coman and wants to bring him in, possibly at the expense of one of his present players.

Indeed, according to the source, Tuchel does not see Hudson-Odoi as part of his plans for the upcoming season, and as a result, Chelsea is willing to offer the Englishman a direct swap deal with Bayern, given that Die Roten had previously sought to sign him.

It remains to be seen whether the German champions will find such a deal acceptable, given that Coman is worth €90 million to them.
