From Argentina – Man Utd would pay £34.2million to sign star

Manchester United has been widely linked with England international and Atletico Madrid star Kieran Trippier, according to the latest rumors.

According to Argentine site Ole (news image provided below), the Rojiblancos are already trying to replace the Three Lions right-back, which the Red Devils are interested in this summer.

Man United would spend 40 million euros (£34.2 million) to sign the defender, according to the South American side, but the La Liga champions are looking for a Copa America winner.

According to Ole, Simeone is interested in signing La Albiceleste player Gonzalo Montiel to replace the former Spurs fullback at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The 24-year-current old's contract with River Plate expires in December 2022, and the contract includes a 20 million-euro termination option.

The 12-cap international managed to keep Neymar quiet in the Copa America final, and according to reports in Portugal, Primeira Liga heavyweights Benfica have already moved in with an 8 million euro bid for him.

Trippier performed admirably for Atletico Madrid (La Liga champion) and England (Euro 2020 finalist), but do you believe Manchester United should pay £34.2 million to sign him? No, I don't believe so.

The former Burnley defender has reached the end of his career; he will turn 31 next month. Furthermore, Solskjaer already has the first-choice right-back in Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Diogo Dalot, who played on loan for AC Milan last season, is available as a backup at Old Trafford.
